Some business events you attend once. Others quickly become fixtures in your calendar. For MAD Colour, the MLN SuMMit is firmly in the latter.
Year after year, it brings together an impressive cross-section of business and public sector leaders from across Ireland all stepping away from the day-to-day to focus on what really matters. Strategy. Leadership. Direction. The things that are often pushed aside by the “urgent”, but ultimately define long-term success.
Held this year on Friday 27th February at Titanic Belfast, the SuMMit once again delivered a morning of insight, challenge and inspiration — and reinforced its position as one of Northern Ireland’s standout business events.
Challenging Conventional Thinking
A key part of what makes the MLN SuMMit so valuable is the calibre of its speakers and this year was no exception.
Headline speaker Rory Sutherland more than lived up to expectations. Known for his ability to challenge conventional thinking, his session was both engaging and thought-provoking, encouraging the audience to rethink assumptions and consider new perspectives on how businesses operate and make decisions.
It’s this kind of “disruptive thinking” that sets the tone for the entire event. Attendees leave not just informed, but energised with fresh ideas and a renewed sense of focus.
A Space to Step Back and Connect
What makes the SuMMit particularly unique is its atmosphere. It doesn’t feel transactional or overly formal. Instead, it creates space both physically and mentally for meaningful conversations.
With attendees spanning SMEs, corporates, government and the wider public sector, the diversity of perspectives adds real depth to discussions. It’s an opportunity to connect with peers outside of the usual work environment, share experiences and explore ideas in a more relaxed setting.
For our team including our Managing Director, sales team and partners from REXframe in Australia it was a valuable chance to engage with the local business community in a more open and conversational way.
Supporting the Experience
MAD Colour has been proud to support the MLN SuMMit over recent years, contributing to the overall event environment and attendee experience.
At this year’s event, we focused on the refreshment and networking area within the Titanic Suite viewpoint a natural hub for a coffee and interaction between sessions.
Using our REXframe modular display system, we created a visually engaging space that complemented the premium feel of the event while remaining practical and adaptable.
This included:
A REXframe branded backdrop and counter
Feature hexagon display elements to add depth and visual interest
Our MAD Magazine Photo Booth, offering a fun and engaging experience for attendees
The intention was not to dominate the space, but to enhance it; creating an environment that felt both professional and welcoming, and supported the flow of conversation.
More Than Just an Event
As the MLN SuMMit continues to grow, it remains a standout in Northern Ireland’s business calendar; not just for its speakers, but for the experience it creates.
For MAD Colour, it represents more than an event we support. It’s an opportunity to be part of a wider business community, to exchange ideas, and to contribute to something that genuinely adds value.
In a world where time is increasingly pressured and attention constantly divided, taking a step back to think, connect and be inspired is more important than ever.
We’re looking forward to next year already!
