Sales Support & Front of House
Salary:
Up to £25k (Subject To Experience)
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Annual Leave:
31 days (including Bank Holidays) increasing by 1 per year to 34 days
We are MAD Colour. A local, award winning, design, print & manufacturing company producing ‘Creativity Materialised’ for almost 50 years.
At MAD Colour, first impressions count—and that’s where you come in. We’re seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive individual to join our team in a hybrid Front of House and Sales Support role. You’ll also take ownership of our Promotional Products category, developing client solutions from proposal through to delivery.
This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone who is keen to grow, learn, and develop within a dynamic business that combines creativity with high-quality manufacturing. You’ll gain valuable experience in customer service, project tracking, sales support, and internal systems—all while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Duties
- Front of House; first point of contact for MAD Colour; answering calls, emails and in person enquiries directing them to internal teams
- Owner of Promotional Products category; proposing solutions, compiling presentations, estimating, processing and invoicing.
- Sales Order Processing; tracking orders and updating customers on job progress including install, delivery or collection dates
- Supporting sales function by following-up on estimates, enquiries, opportunities and diary management
- Capturing sales activity info on activities, opportunities and follow ups in CRM system
- Updating Management Information System with sales order progress and other records with dates, requirements, contact details and other key information

Business Development Manager

We’re MAD Colour — a bold, creative print and display business pushing boundaries across design, production and experiential environments. We’re looking for a strategically-minded, proactive Business Development Manager to help us expand into new markets, deepen relationships with high-value clients, and secure new business opportunities across MAD Colour’s integrated offering.
This is a senior role for a confident, strategic operator who can identify opportunities, build credibility, and win work across sectors including retail, events, exhibitions, signage and creative marketing. A key focus will be driving uptake of REXframe, the world-class aluminium & fabric modular display system that MAD Colour now distributes exclusively across the UK & Ireland.What You’ll Do
- Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development
- Research, identify and pursue high-value opportunities across a broad range of sectors.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of quality prospects with short, medium, and long-term revenue potential.
- Understand industry shifts, customer challenges, and market dynamics to identify where MAD Colour’s services can deliver value.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with senior stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers in target businesses.
- Conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings to uncover needs, educate prospects, and position MAD Colour’s unique integrated solutions.
- Lead strategic account development, ensuring repeat and long-term business from high-value clients.
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Create and execute sector-specific business development plans aligned with overall company growth objectives.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from outreach and qualification through to contract close.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor proposals and presentations that demonstrate creative thinking and return on investment.
- Champion the REXframe system and MAD Colour’s integrated offering.
- Sector Engagement & Networking
- Attend industry and Chamber of Commerce events, exhibitions, and business forums to connect with potential clients and partners.
- Promote MAD Colour as a leading creative display partner, staying visible within target markets.
- Represent the business with professionalism, creativity, and commercial awareness.
- Collaboration & Internal Communication
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure opportunities are scoped effectively and client expectations are met.
- Provide insight and customer feedback to support innovation, pricing strategies, and service development.
- Support handover of won projects into internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
- Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track all sales activity, pipeline progression, and revenue forecasts using PACE CRM.
- Monitor success metrics and adjust approaches based on insights and data.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on performance against targets, wins, challenges, and market developments.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in senior business development, sales, or account management roles, ideally within display, creative, print, or event industries.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to close complex deals.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers across marketing, events, retail, and procurement functions.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with a growth mindset and ability to open doors.
- Knowledge of modular systems, display technologies, and print solutions is highly desirable.
Performance Expectations
- Development of a well-qualified, high-value pipeline across sectors.
- Demonstrated contribution to top-line growth and gross margin through new client wins.
- Expansion of MAD Colour’s presence in key markets through strategic networking and client advocacy.
- Tangible ROI from activities including outreach, pitches, and attendance at key trade events.
