For the NI Assembly, the objective was to create a professional and approachable presence that encouraged members of the public to ask questions, engage with the team and learn more about the work of the Assembly.
This type of event presence is about more than visibility.
It is about accessibility, trust, clarity and creating opportunities for meaningful public engagement.
Public sector stands need to feel professional, impartial and approachable.
They must be clear without feeling overwhelming.
Informative without feeling cluttered.
Credible without feeling distant.
Good design helps bridge that gap.
MAD Colour helped create a stand environment that gave the NI Assembly team a visible, welcoming and accessible space to engage with visitors throughout the show.
The stand needed to reflect the organisation properly, but it also had to work practically for the people using it. Staff needed a space that supported conversation. Visitors needed a space that felt easy to approach. Messaging needed to be visible, clear and well structured.
That is where strategic event branding plays an important role.
It is not just about how a stand looks.
It is about how the space helps people interact with the organisation.
For the NI Assembly, the stand supported visibility, outreach, questions and public engagement — helping make the organisation feel more accessible in a busy live event setting.
